The Colorado College swimming and diving teams continued their 2022-23 campaign with a dual meet against Division II Colorado School of Mines Saturday morning at Schlessman Natatorium.
The CC women lost, 130-106, despite a pair of victories by senior Kate Brush. She captured the 200-yard freestyle race with a time of 2:00.82 and the 100 butterfly in 59.44. She also finished second in the 500 freestyle. Meanwhile, Emma Krasemann won both 1-meter diving events.
Gina Lynch posted a second-place result behind Brush in the 200 freestyle, while Megan Simonson and Grace Ersfeld-O'Brien did the same in the 50 and 100 freestyle races, respectively.
The Tiger men were defeated by Mines, 142-95, with Oliver Spanton and Collin Ralston each winning a race. Spanton touched first in the 50 freestyle with a time of 21.28, while Ralston won the 200 individual medley in 2:01.32. In addition, Aidan Richter posted a victory in each 1-meter diving event.
Jack Hussin collected a pair of runner-up results (100 and 200 freestyle) and Edmund Davis placed second in the 1000 freestyle.
The CC women return to action on Saturday, Dec. 10, with a dual meet against CSU-Pueblo at Schlessman Natatorium, then both team host SCAC-foe Austin College on Tuesday, Dec. 13.
