Box Score Colorado College fell to the Carroll University Pios, 83-77, on Friday night in Reid Arena.
"Carroll played hard and really executed, and were tough on the defensive and offensive glass," coach Jeff Conarroe said. "Tonight we struggled in transition and need to do a better job sharing the ball, executing offensively and executing the game plan. We're back to work tomorrow and have a great opportunity in front of us with the winner of the [Whitworth vs Carleton] game."
Freshman Dinari Boykin came off the bench to lead the Tigers with an impressive 21 points and five rebounds in the loss to the Pios. Boykin went 9-16 from the field and drew four fouls.
Both Trey Crawford and Adrian Price made an impact for the Tigers and scored in double digits. In his first appearance as a starter this season, Crawford scored ten points and nabbed seven rebounds. Price earned 10 points and four rebounds.
The Tigers shot 47.7% from the field and held the Pios to just six second-chance points.
Five Pios scored in the double digits and Justin Steinike and Paradisio Dante led Carroll University with 14 points each.

The Tigers will return to action tomorrow for the consolation game of the Rocky Mountain Thanksgiving Classic in Reid Arena.
