Three members of the Air Force Falcons women’s soccer team have been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. The announcement was made Tuesday morning.
The honorees are Chase Borntreger, Annika Jost, and Caeli Sherman. Borntreger, a midfielder majoring in political science, received her second selection to the CSC Academic All-District Team. She achieved career highs this season with three goals and three assists for a total of nine points. Borntreger started 18 out of 19 matches and played 975 minutes.
Annika Jost, an electrical and computer engineering major, earned her first selection to the team. Jost started every match this season and recorded 25 points from 10 goals and five assists. She was also named Mountain West Offensive Player of the Year—only the second player in Air Force history to receive this honor—and was selected for the All-Conference First Team.
Senior forward Caeli Sherman was recognized by CSC for the first time in her career. Sherman started five matches, scored one goal, and played 643 minutes during the season.
According to officials, “The 2025-26 Academic All-District Women’s Soccer teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.” The program honors women’s soccer players across four divisions: NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.
To be eligible for consideration, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 GPA, have completed a minimum of one year at their current institution, and have participated in at least 90% of their team’s games during the current season.
