On Saturday, March 14, the Colorado Mesa Mavericks—featuring former Mesa Ridge High School standout Tevin Riehl—were defeated 66-99 by the Dallas Baptist Patriots in the opening round of the NCAA Division II Basketball Tournament.

The NCAA tournament contest began at 4 p.m. inside Kenneth E. Burg Center and marked the Mavericks’ first meeting with the Dallas Baptist Patriots in this tournament.
