At around 4:00 a.m. on January 18, 2026, the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an armed individual making threats inside a residence on the 9800 block of Wando Drive in southeastern unincorporated El Paso County.

According to officials, deputies arrived after receiving a 911 call from a witness who had escaped the house by climbing out an upstairs window. The witness reported that an adult male suspect was “stabbing people” inside the home.

Deputies entered the residence and arrested the suspect without incident. Investigators determined that the weapon used was a pair of kitchen shears. While no individuals suffered stab wounds, authorities found evidence that parts of the home had been damaged with the shears.

Based on statements from victims and witnesses, as well as physical evidence, deputies arrested 18-year-old Isaac Emilio Molina Jr. He faces charges including attempted homicide, felony menacing, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and child abuse. Molina is being held at the El Paso County Jail on a $15,000 bond.

El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal stated: “This was a volatile and dangerous situation, and I am grateful for the quick, decisive actions of our deputies to take the suspect into custody without further harm. Their response prevented what could have been a far more tragic outcome and underscores our commitment to protecting victims and holding violent offenders accountable.”
