NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the public is invited to provide comment and input on the proposed addition of a new funding strategy for the use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), funds by the City of Colorado Springs. The amendment would add Section 108 financing as a funding resource and strategy in the 2023 Annual Action Plan. This tool provides the ability to leverage the annual grant allocation to access low-cost, flexible financing for an identified public facility project in central Colorado Springs.  

City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division (CDD) will conduct a public hearing, virtually and in person, on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from 6-7:00 p.m. on the proposed amendment to the 2023 Annual Action Plan for the use of federal block grant funds received annually from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

The draft amendment to the 2023 Annual Action Plan will be available for public review and comment from July 5 - August 6, 2023 on the City’s website at https://coloradosprings.gov/community-development and at the following locations Monday through Friday during normal business hours: Community Development Division Office (Suite 701) and Office of the City Clerk (Suite 101), 30 S. Nevada Ave.

Any individual, group, or agency may submit written comments on the draft amendment to the 2023 Annual Action Plan to the City of Colorado Springs, Community Development Division, or contact (719) 385-5912 or CommunityDevelopment@coloradosprings.gov. Comments should specify which notice they are addressing. All comments received on or before August 6, 2023 will be considered by the City of Colorado Springs Community Development Division.
