The City of Colorado Springs is sponsoring a “Renters Rights 101” workshop on Wednesday, June 28 from 6-8 p.m. The program is available virtually or in person at Silver Key Senior Services, David Lord Room, 1625 S Murray Blvd., Colorado Springs.
“High rents continue to add to housing instability, and these workshops help renters and landlords know the rules to help people stay housed,” said Barb Van Hoy, a policy analyst with the City’s Community Development Division.
In this workshop, Colorado Legal Services attorney Clinton Albert will help participants learn about a wide variety of topics such as lease basics, reasonable accommodations and modifications, deposits, repairs, eviction, and updates on recent Colorado legislation on housing matters. Other community legal and housing resources will be shared.
