Kit Carson County issued the following announcement on Nov. 16.
Kit Carson County Commissioners announced that the Coronavirus Relief Fund (CVRF) has been fully distributed to small businesses in the county.
There were 104 applications for the funds with over $1.6 million requested. Of these applications, the committee deemed that 86 businesses were eligible and were awarded a grand total of $440,500.00. KCC Commissioners would like to thank our committee members for their diligence and perseverance during this grant process.
Members included Doris King, Flagler, Charlene Marzolf, Seibert, Sherry Stone, Vona, Melanee Johnson, Stratton, Sherry Stephen, Bethune, Jim Keehne, Burlington and Paula Weeks, Kit Carson County. At this time, any applications that were submitted after the funds were depleted will be held in anticipation of future funds being released to the county for this purpose.
