COLORADO SPRINGS: Two More Bus Drivers Test Positive for COVID-19

Coronavirus update920

Colorado Springs issued the following announcement on Nov. 6.

Two more bus drivers who work for RATP-Dev, Mountain Metropolitan Transit’s fixed route contractor, tested positive for COVID-19.  These employees have not been at work since November 3. As a result, bus service this weekend will be scaled back and that information can be found at mmtransit.com. Detailed information including the days, times, and routes of confirmed positive bus drivers can be found at mmtransit.com or by calling 385-7433.

All Mountain Metro buses are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected every evening with products approved by the EPA for coronavirus disinfecting. Bus drivers and passengers are required to wear masks and teams are spraying seats, steering wheels, handles, buckles, stop request pull cords and other high-touch areas throughout the day.

Mountain Metropolitan Transit provides local fixed-route bus service and Metro Mobility ADA paratransit service for Colorado Springs and the Pikes Peak region. All buses use clean diesel technology and are wheelchair-lift equipped. Mountain Metropolitan Transit also provides other services such as Metro Rides’ ridesharing, vanpool, and bicycling programs. For added convenience, there are bike racks on all buses for riders who want to utilize the bike-n-bus program.
