Cost of college went up for all students at Colorado Technical University-Colorado Springs

Tuition and fees rose 2.3 percent for 2018-19 at Colorado Technical University-Colorado Springs, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Colorado students paid $11,960 to attend the four-year private for-profit institution this year – $271 more than the $11,689 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 90 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 918 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.3 million and 789 students took out student loans totaling more than $5.4 million.

Including all undergraduates (26,184), 16,582 students used grants or scholarships totaling $70.8 million, and 16,685 students took out $134.1 million in federal student loans.
