Rep. Jeff Crank, U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 5th congressional district, shared a series of posts on his social media account highlighting recent events and meetings relevant to his constituency.
On February 5, 2026, Rep. Crank acknowledged the National Prayer Breakfast and commemorated key anniversaries in American history. He wrote, “In honor of the National Prayer Breakfast, I joined my colleagues in representing the beautiful State of Colorado in prayer.
As we reach Colorado’s 150th and the nation’s 250th anniversary, we’re reminded of the power of prayer and how God has blessed our great nation.”
Later that day, Rep. Crank reported meeting with industry leaders from the Colorado Oil and Gas Association to discuss regional energy concerns affecting his district. In a post dated February 5, he stated, “I had the opportunity to meet with Colorado Oil and Gas Association Executive Director Granger and Vice President Steadley to discuss how we can work together to address our priorities and energy issues for #CO05.”
On February 6, Rep. Crank highlighted local athletic achievements by noting Olympic ties within his district: “Colorado Springs, also known as the Olympic City, is a central hub for training and hosting Olympians to showcase their skills on the world stage. Among the incredible 16 @USFigureSkating athletes nominated, three of them reside in #CO05: Amber Glenn, Danny O’Shea, and Ellie Kam!”
Colorado Springs has long been recognized as “Olympic City USA,” serving as home to both national governing bodies for several sports and an official U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center where many athletes prepare for international competition.
Rep. Crank’s outreach comes as Colorado marks its sesquicentennial (150th anniversary) since statehood while the United States approaches its semiquincentennial (250th anniversary), both significant milestones commemorated across public institutions statewide.
