Perkins and Doig receive Mountain West swimming awards after undefeated weekend

Two members of the Air Force Falcons women’s swimming and diving team have received Mountain West weekly honors after contributing to a 3-0 record over the weekend, according to an announcement from conference officials on Tuesday. Chloe Perkins was named Mountain West Diver of the Week for the first time this season and for the second time in her career. Natalie Doig earned her first conference recognition as Mountain West Freshman of the Week.

Chloe Perkins, who is a 2024-25 Mountain West All-Conference team selection, played a key role in helping Air Force secure wins against Northern Colorado, Colorado State, and New Mexico. In Friday’s meet against Northern Colorado, Perkins scored 285.83 on the 3-meter springboard, qualifying for NCAA Zones and taking first place. She also posted a score of 248.93 on the 1-meter board. In subsequent competition against Colorado State and New Mexico, she achieved another NCAA Zone qualifying mark with a score of 295.55 on the 3-meter event and qualified again for Zones with a score of 266.55 on the 1-meter.

Natalie Doig earned her first collegiate conference award following her performances in all three meets. Against Northern Colorado, she tied as Air Force’s high point scorer by earning two individual wins in the 100 fly (57.91) and 200 fly (2:06.42), marking her first top finishes at Air Force, and contributed to a second-place finish in the 400 medley relay. Competing against Colorado State and New Mexico, Doig finished second in the 200 fly (2:07.70) and third in the 100 fly (57.85).
