Air Force junior gymnast Maggie Slife will compete as one of four individually-qualifying all-arounders in the 2026 National Collegiate Women’s Gymnastics Championships, according to an announcement on Apr. 15. Slife is scheduled to participate in Session II of the national semifinal round on Thursday, rotating with the defending national champion Oklahoma Sooners at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. The event begins at 7 p.m. Mountain Time.
The opportunity for individual gymnasts like Slife to compete at this level highlights both personal achievement and recognition for programs not advancing as a team. Her participation marks a significant milestone for Air Force gymnastics.
Fans can watch Thursday’s competition live on ESPN2 or stream it via ESPN+. Live scoring will be available through Virtius, with additional information and links accessible from the women’s gymnastics schedule page at goairforcefalcons.com.
The championship format features eight teams along with four all-around competitors and sixteen event specialists who were not members of qualifying teams. The top two teams from each regional advanced to nationals, joined by leading individual performers from each region.
Slife earned her spot by scoring a 39.550 as an all-around gymnast during the semifinals of the Baton Rouge Regional on Apr. 2. This score tied for fourth-best in Air Force history and secured the program’s first-ever bid into the national title bracket after finishing as the top all-around competitor among gymnasts whose teams did not advance.
