Senior Eric Liveringhouse led the Air Force golf team during the final day of the 56th Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational held at Eisenhower Golf Course on Monday, September 22. Liveringhouse posted a score of 73 (+1) in the last round on the Blue Course and finished as the top performer for Air Force over three rounds with a total score of 217 (+1). Junior Eli Huntington followed with a total score of 220 (+4), while junior Carson Baker scored 221, senior Ted Davenport finished at 229, and senior Brooks Morrell ended with 235.
The team competition concluded with Idaho winning the title with a combined score of 841 (-23). Gonzaga placed second at 851, and UC San Diego took third at 852. The Air Force team finished in 21st place with a total score of 887.
Northern Colorado’s Kaelen Dulany was the leading individual player, finishing at 202 (-14), one shot short of tying the tournament record after rounds of 70, 68, and 64. Nevada’s Oak Seelangae came in second at 205. San Jose State’s Avinash Iyer recorded the best single round of the tournament on the final day with a score of 63 (-9), also just one shot off both tournament and course records.
In addition to the main event, an individual competition was held on the Silver Course. UC Davis’ Louis Grizot won that event with a three-round total of 206 (-10). Among Air Force participants, freshman Ben Zeiler was top finisher, tying for thirteenth overall with scores of 73-68-73 for a total of 214 (-2). Senior Alvaro Fonseca completed his rounds at 217 (+1), followed by Jackson Scaletta (225), Aaron Baker (227), and Lincoln Blake (244).
Air Force is scheduled to compete next in the third annual Commander-in-Chief’s Cup against Army and Navy from September 30 to October 1 at Winged Foot Golf Course in Mamaroneck, New York.
