Four cadet-athletes from the Air Force water polo team were named to the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) 2026 All-Academic Team for their achievements in academics and athletics, according to a March 17 announcement.

The recognition highlights the academic dedication of student-athletes who balance rigorous coursework with athletic commitments. The ACWPC All-Academic Team honors those who have demonstrated excellence both in the classroom and in competition.

Senior Jackson Carter and freshman Blake Fuchshlin received superior distinction, with Carter earning this honor for the fourth time in his career. Freshmen Shane Borunda and Max Ellis were recognized with excellent honors. These distinctions are based on cumulative grade point averages, with superior awarded for GPAs between 3.70 and 3.41, and excellent for GPAs between 3.40 and 3.20.

Eligibility for the award requires that a student-athlete’s head coach is a member of the ACWPC and that the athlete maintains a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20. The ACWPC categorizes individual honors into three tiers: Outstanding (4.0-3.71), Superior (3.70-3.41), and Excellent (3.40-3.20).

The continued recognition of Air Force athletes on this list reflects their commitment to maintaining high standards both academically and athletically.
