Former Fountain-Fort Carson High School basketball standout Aiyana Mitchell played for the Vanderbilt Commodores, who secured a 75-57 victory over the Illinois Fighting Illini in the NCAA Tournament on Monday, March 23.
The matchup was held at Memorial Gymnasium with tipoff at 6 p.m.
Mitchell recorded four points, nine rebounds, four blocks and two steals over the course of 19 minutes.
The Commodores are scheduled to play their next game Friday, March 27, at 1:35 p.m. at Dickies Arena.
