Air Force Academy senior Brooks Morrell has been selected to compete as an individual in the Jackson T. Stephens Cup, which will take place from September 15 to 17 at Shoreacres Golf Club in Lake Bluff, Illinois. Morrell becomes the fifth Air Force Falcons men’s golf team member to participate in this event, following Colter Baca (2021), Isaac Layne (2022), Aaron Kuznik (2023), and Cameron Kahle (2024).

The Jackson T. Stephens Cup is named after Jack Stephens, a former chairman of Augusta National Golf Club. The tournament is now in its fifth year and brings together top collegiate golfers from across the country.

The three-day competition will be broadcast live on GOLF Channel. Coverage is scheduled for Monday, September 15 from 5–8 p.m. ET; Tuesday, September 16 from 4–7 p.m. ET; and Wednesday, September 17 from 4–7 p.m. ET.

This year’s field includes seven NCAA Division I men’s and women’s teams along with leading players from service academies and Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) competing as individuals. The men’s team lineup features Arizona, LSU, North Carolina, Northwestern, SMU, and Texas.

The tournament format consists of 54 holes of stroke play to determine seeding for a final day of match play based on team results. Activities begin with a practice round and college-am tournament on Sunday, September 14. Players will then compete in two rounds on Monday followed by one round on Tuesday before concluding with match play finals on Wednesday.

Shoreacres Golf Club serves as the venue for this year’s event. Established in 1916 and designed by Seth Raynor, the course measures 6,838 yards for men with a par of 70.
