A closely contested match ended in disappointment for the Air Force Falcons women’s volleyball team, as they fell to New Mexico in five sets on Senior Day at Cadet East Gym. The final scores were 27-29, 22-25, 25-18, 25-22, and 8-15.

Senior players made significant contributions in their last home game. Ashley Bible recorded a career-high 22 kills for the third consecutive match. Alex Hatchett registered five blocks and matched her career high with 11 kills. Jordan Suan finished with 18 digs.

The Falcons led New Mexico in several statistical categories, including kills (71 to 58), assists (69 to 52), and digs (87 to 82). However, New Mexico outperformed Air Force in blocks with a margin of 21 to 10. Alongside Bible and Hatchett’s double-digit kill totals, sophomore Alysa Walker added 18 kills. Several players contributed defensively: Walker had ten digs; Bible twelve; Suan eighteen; sophomore Mia Loyd twenty; and freshman Sophie Bridges twenty-one—marking the team’s highest dig total this season. Loyd also achieved her first career match with over sixty assists.

Reflecting on key moments from the match, the Falcons overcame multiple deficits but could not secure victory despite forcing a fifth set after trailing by two sets early on.

Air Force will finish its regular season next week with two away games against Mountain West opponents. They are scheduled to play Utah State—who have already secured the conference championship—in Logan on Thursday, November 20th. The team will then travel to Idaho for their conference finale against Boise State on Saturday, November 22nd.
