The Air Force women’s tennis team will continue its road stretch with matches against New Mexico State and Northern Arizona on Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, according to a Jan. 29 announcement.

These matches mark the fourth and fifth consecutive road games for the Falcons, who are looking for their first wins of the season after opening with three losses against Southern Methodist University, Texas A&M, and Colorado. Both weekend matches are scheduled for a 10 a.m. Mountain Time start in Flagstaff.

Live scoring for both contests will be available through StatBroadcast, with links accessible on the team’s schedule page at goairforcefalcons.com.

The Falcons finished last season with their largest single-season turnaround in program history under head coach Taylor Hollander. The team improved from a last-place finish in the previous year to achieving a record of 12-14 overall and 4-6 within Mountain West competition. They secured notable victories during the Mountain West Championship, including a shutout win over New Mexico and defeating No. 69 Nevada—marking their highest-seeded postseason victory since 2017.

Recruitment efforts have also seen progress as Air Force’s incoming class was ranked tenth nationally among mid-major women’s programs by Tennis Recruiting Network—its highest ranking ever on that platform—and placed ahead of fellow service academies Navy (11th) and Army (24th). Freshmen Jariahlyn Rhoades, Yule Kang, and Alba Martinez contributed solid performances during fall tournaments.

Looking ahead, Air Force faces five opponents this spring who participated in last year’s NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championship field—including national runner-up Texas A&M—as well as several conference champions and teams recognized in final national rankings.
