The Air Force Falcons women’s swimming and diving team finished sixth at the Mountain West Championships held at CRWC Natatorium in Houston, Texas. The team scored 811.5 points, marking an improvement of two places compared to last year and achieving their highest point total since the 2022-23 season.

During the championship meet, Air Force athletes broke six school records, with three new records set on the final day of competition.

“This team had an absolutely amazing season, they leveled up in every way this year,” said head coach Colleen Murphy. “We had a great team atmosphere, our work ethic was unmatched, and we were surrounded in a supportive team culture. They deserve all this success, and I am so proud of this team.”

The 400 free relay squad—Ryan Mills, Sadie Hartig, Hannah Seal, and Lily Larson—set a new Academy record with a time of 3:20.43 and placed eighth overall. Larson and Mills had also been part of the previous record-setting relay in 2024. Mills’ lead-off leg time of 49.88 seconds is now second fastest in program history.

In individual events, Lily Larson established a new school record in the 100 freestyle with a time of 49.67 seconds, surpassing the previous mark set in 2018 by five hundredths of a second. She finished tenth in that event’s finals.

On the diving platform, freshman Lexi Gregory scored 279.80 points to break a six-year-old school record previously set at 266.65 points. Gregory’s performance earned her fifth place—her second top-five finish during the conference meet—and continued a trend where an Air Force freshman has broken diving records at consecutive MW Championships.

Other notable performances included Naomi Furman placing ninth in the 200 breaststroke (2:13.08), while teammates Maeve Linscott (2:16.12) and Mandy Fleetwood (2:16.37) finished fourteenth and fifteenth respectively.

Freshman Abby Miller completed the grueling 1650 freestyle race in ninth place with a time of 16:52.98—maintaining her position as eighth fastest all-time for Air Force—while Katie Andrist took thirteenth (16:55.79).

In backstroke events, Sadie Hartig posted a time of 1:58.14 for thirteenth place in the 200 backstroke—the third best mark ever for Air Force women’s swimming—and Elizabeth Sistrunk secured sixteenth after prelims saw her swim into Air Force’s top ten all-time list.

The Falcons will next compete at the NCAA Zone E Qualifiers from March 7-11 in Flagstaff, Arizona.
