Air Force is set to play UNLV at Cadet Soccer Stadium on Thursday, October 16, with kickoff scheduled for 6 p.m. MT. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 4-6-3 overall and 2-2-1 in conference play, while UNLV holds a 3-8-4 record (1-2-3 in conference).

There will be no live stream available for this match due to the ongoing government shutdown. Fans can follow live statistics through StatBroadcast.

Base access procedures remain in place at the U.S. Air Force Academy. Individuals without a Department of Defense ID card must obtain a visitor pass to attend athletic events. This year, passes are issued monthly, allowing ticket holders to use one pass for all events within that month. After registering online, visitors will receive a message on their phone to present at the gate along with their game tickets. All tickets and credentialed attendees may enter through either the North or South gate; the North gate is recommended for those attending athletic fields.

The Falcons have faced UNLV 29 times since their first meeting in 1998, holding an overall record of 9 wins, 18 losses, and 2 draws against the Rebels. At home, Air Force has won four matches out of thirteen played. The most recent victory came in 2023 with a 1-0 shutout.

In their last outing, Air Force drew 1-1 with Colorado State after an own goal by CSU leveled the score following an early lead by the Rams. Goalkeeper Trishelle Lopez made three saves during the match.

Offensively this season, Air Force averages 1.31 goals per game and has taken a total of 175 shots—ranking seventh in the Mountain West Conference—with nine different players scoring at least once. Annika Jost leads the team with four goals and two assists for ten points.

Defensively, Jordan Dillingham has played over one thousand minutes and scored her first career goal earlier this season. Team captain Samantha Sharp and midfielders Raine Komata and Ava Carpentier have contributed both defensively and offensively.

Freshmen AJ Heap and Zahra Friess have each scored their first collegiate goals this season, making significant contributions in minutes played and shots on goal.

Trishelle Lopez has started eleven matches as goalkeeper this season, recording forty-six saves with a .730 save percentage. She earned her second career shutout against Wyoming and was named Mountain West Freshman of the Week—the team’s first weekly award this year—after making eight saves across two matches.

Veteran goalkeeper Kylie McElroy started two matches early in the season, including a shutout performance against Gonzaga where she recorded seven saves.

Statistically within conference play, Air Force ranks fifth in goals per game (tied with Colorado State), fifth in combined saves among goalkeepers (58), while individual players like Chase Borntreger and Annika Jost rank among conference leaders in shots per game and goals scored respectively.

UNLV comes into Thursday’s matchup following a loss to Grand Canyon University. Michelle Madris leads UNLV with three goals and two assists for eight points so far this season. Goalkeeper Hanne Breur has played seven hundred twenty minutes for UNLV with thirty-eight saves.

Following Thursday’s contest against UNLV, Air Force will host Nevada at Cadet Soccer Stadium on Sunday, October 19 at 1 p.m., which will serve as the team’s Cancer Awareness match.
