Air Force Women’s Gymnastics will compete against Utah State at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum in Logan on Feb. 26, with the meet scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. Mountain Time.
The upcoming dual meet comes as Air Force continues a historic season, having recently broken its all-time team score record twice in February and three times over the past two seasons. The Falcons are currently ranked 35th nationally and third within the Mountain West Conference, holding a National Qualifying Score of 195.238.
In their last outing, Air Force secured a program-best score of 196.300 during a road victory over San Jose State and UC Davis at the Provident Credit Union Event Center. Junior Maggie Slife led the Falcons with her eighth all-around title of the season, scoring a 39.575—the second-highest all-around mark in Academy history—and achieving top scores on bars (9.900) and beam (9.925), while sharing first place on floor with teammate Alysa Bigler (9.925). Bigler also posted career highs as an all-arounder.
The Falcons’ performance included strong showings across all apparatuses: they posted an uneven bars score of 48.950 to open, set an all-time program high on balance beam with a total of 49.325, and earned their highest floor exercise mark this season at 49.275.
Recognition for individual gymnasts has followed these successes; Slife was named Mountain West Gymnast of the Week for both her overall performance and specialist achievements across vault, bars, beam, and floor events—her seventeenth consecutive honor this year—while Bigler earned Co-Floor Specialist recognition alongside Slife.
After Friday’s competition in Logan is complete, Air Force will return home to host San Jose State at Cadet West Gym on March 6.
