Air Force Women’s Gymnastics will compete against Denver at Magness Arena on Monday, March 9, with the meet set to begin at 5 p.m. Mountain Time. This event marks the Falcons’ final away competition before the Mountain West Championships.

The upcoming dual is significant as it offers Air Force another opportunity to compete outside their home gym ahead of the postseason. The team recently secured a share of the Mountain West regular season title for the first time in program history after defeating San Jose State.

Throughout this season and last, Air Force has repeatedly broken its all-time record score, most recently achieving a 196.425 in a second-place finish at home against Denver and San Jose State. The Falcons are currently ranked 34th nationally and hold top-50 positions across all apparatuses: vault (41st), bars (36th), beam (35th), and floor (37th).

Junior Maggie Slife continues to stand out, having been named Mountain West Gymnast of the Week for eight consecutive weeks this season, as well as earning specialist honors on vault and bars multiple times. Slife is ranked ninth nationally in both all-around and bars events among non-Power Four gymnasts.

Reflecting on her team’s achievements, Head Coach Jennifer Green said, “It’s a huge accomplishment for this team! The connection, belief, rituals and routines that we share are the reason we are continuing to build. That’s our mantra—keep building. These athletes aren’t satisfied – They’re hungry for much more.” Green also highlighted her confidence in her athletes’ potential: “I believe in my heart that they are now seeing what I’ve seen in them all along… I think getting this team in front of top teams, big arenas, different judges has all helped peoples impressions of Air Force Gymnastics.” She further emphasized the importance of support within Team 50: “Truth, faith and love are how you achieve competitive greatness. We have that from the top down. and that’s been the key.”

As Air Force heads into its next challenge against Denver with momentum from recent successes, observers will be watching how they continue to build upon their historic season.
