For the first time in more than two decades, the Air Force Falcons women’s basketball team will face the New Mexico Highlands Cowgirls in a non-conference game on Saturday, December 13, at Clune Arena.

The matchup marks their first meeting since 2003. Air Force holds a 6-0 record against New Mexico Highlands, with five of those wins coming at home and one on the road. The Falcons have won all six games by a combined margin of 29 points. Their last encounter was on December 10, 2003, when Air Force secured an 80-56 victory.

Air Force enters the game after a win over Utah Valley, defeating the Wolverines 58-50 in Orem, Utah. Senior Milahnie Perry led scoring for her sixth consecutive game with 24 points and is currently averaging 18.1 points per game this season—ranking first among Mountain West competitors and placing her 48th nationally. Perry now has a career total of 1,405 points and is within reach of moving up in both program and Division I history for career scoring.

Freshman Bhret Clay contributed 11 points against Utah Valley while junior Jayda McNabb added nine points along with a game-high 11 rebounds. McNabb continues to play a significant role for the Falcons; she leads the Mountain West Conference and ranks fifth nationally in offensive rebounding (4.8 per game). She also stands third in both total rebounding (8.4) and blocked shots per game (1.00) within the conference.

Bench production has been notable for Air Force this season, with Clay leading three-point shooting at .441 accuracy from beyond the arc and Devaughn contributing as the team’s second-leading scorer to start the year.

The Falcons have demonstrated strong performance trends at home over recent seasons—posting a record of 31-17 at Clune Arena during the past four years. They are especially effective when reaching certain statistical benchmarks: winning nearly all games when scoring over 70 points or shooting above fifty percent from the field at home; maintaining high success rates when out-rebounding opponents or holding them under sixty points.

Saturday’s contest will be available via live stream on Mountain West Network with commentary from Brian Jerman and Geoff Bennett. Radio coverage will be provided by XtraSports AM 1300 featuring Ryan Kaufman, while live statistics can be accessed through StatBroadcast on goairforcefalcons.com.

Following this matchup, Air Force is scheduled to play Utah State on December 17.
