Air Force Women’s Basketball will host the Wyoming Cowgirls at Clune Arena on Wednesday, February 25, for a Mountain West Conference rematch and Field Trip Day event. The game is scheduled to tip off at 11:05 a.m. MT and will welcome local Colorado Springs students to the arena.

The Falcons come into the matchup with a record of 12-15 overall and 6-11 in conference play, while Wyoming holds a 9-17 overall record and is also 6-11 in the Mountain West. In their last outings, Air Force lost to New Mexico (73-53), and Wyoming was defeated by Colorado State (62-48).

Fans can follow the game through several channels: television coverage on Altitude Sports and Mountain West Network with Tyler Maun and Brian Jerman as commentators; radio broadcast on XtraSports AM 1300 with Ryan Kaufman; and live stats available via StatBroadcast. Senior Milahnie Perry leads Air Force in scoring, averaging 17.1 points per game, which currently tops all players in the Mountain West Conference. Junior Keelie O’Hollaren adds an average of 9.3 points per game. The Falcons are ranked second in the conference for turnover margin (3.52) and turnovers forced per game (17.37), as well as third in steals per game (8.9) and offensive rebounding (12.3 rpg). Perry has averaged nearly 20 points over her last seven games.

In their most recent contest against New Mexico, seniors Emily Adams and Jordyn Devaughn led Air Force scorers with ten points each, while juniors Alexis Cortez and Jayda McNabb added seven apiece. The Falcons led New Mexico in three-pointers made (seven), steals (six), and blocks (six).

Emily Adams has been experiencing her most productive period at Air Force, averaging twelve points over her last ten games—her best stretch so far with nine double-digit scoring performances this season. On February 4 against Utah State, Adams achieved her first career double-double with 23 points and twelve rebounds.

Rebounding has played a key role in Air Force’s recent victories; they have out-rebounded opponents in seven of their last eight wins.

Jayda McNabb continues to be consistent for the Falcons throughout her tenure at the Academy. Last season she averaged nearly eight points per game, collected six double-doubles, led the team in rebounding, and was second in offensive rebounds within the conference. This year she leads the Mountain West—and ranks eighth nationally—in offensive rebounding with an average of 4.2 per game.

McNabb is also third in total rebounds within the league (7.8 rpg) and second among Mountain West players for steals per game (2.30). With a career total of 633 rebounds, she is approaching ninth place all-time at Air Force.

The Falcons began this season with four consecutive home wins at Clune Arena—their third straight year starting undefeated at home after three or more games.

Milahnie Perry recently moved into third place all-time on Air Force’s career scoring list after surpassing Stacey Goss during a win over San Jose State on February 14; Perry now has 1,688 career points—just nineteen away from second place held by Michelle Johnson—and needs fifty-one more to claim the program’s all-time scoring record with three regular season games remaining.

Statistically this season:
– The Falcons are 8-1 when leading at halftime.
– They are unbeaten at home when holding opponents under sixty points.
– They have won eight out of eleven games when making more three-point baskets than their opponent.
Over four seasons, Air Force has compiled a strong home record of thirty-six wins against twenty losses.

Head coach Stacy McIntyre leads Air Force Women’s Basketball this season while Heather Ezell coaches Wyoming.

Both teams will return to action on February 28—Air Force traveling to Colorado State and Wyoming facing San Diego State.
