Air Force Women’s Basketball will host the New Mexico Lobos at Clune Arena on Saturday, January 24, with tipoff scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Mountain Time. The Falcons enter the game with an 8-11 overall record and a 2-7 mark in Mountain West play, while New Mexico stands at 12-7 overall and 4-4 in conference.
The matchup will be broadcast live on the Mountain West Network and can also be heard on XtraSports AM 1300 with Ryan Kaufman providing commentary. Senior Milahnie Perry leads Air Force in scoring, averaging 16.2 points per game, which ranks second in the Mountain West Conference. Junior Keelie O’Hollaren adds 9.3 points per game. The Falcons lead the conference in turnover margin (3.74), are second in turnovers forced per game (18.37), third in steals per game (9.8), and third in offensive rebounds (12.4 per game).
Jayda McNabb has been a key contributor for Air Force, leading the conference and ranking fourth nationally in offensive rebounding with 4.4 per game this season. She is also third in total rebounds (7.8) and second among league players in steals per game (2.32). McNabb is shooting a team-best .488 from the field.
In their most recent outing, Air Force lost to UNLV by a score of 78-47 on Wednesday evening in Las Vegas. Senior Emily Adams led the Falcons with 12 points and nine rebounds.
Air Force has demonstrated success when holding halftime leads (5-1 record), limiting opponents to 60 points or less (7-2 overall; 3-0 at home), or making more three-point baskets than opponents (6-2 overall; 3-1 at home). Over the last four seasons, Air Force holds a combined home record of 33-19 and has notable success when scoring at least 70 points or out-rebounding opponents.
Milahnie Perry currently sits fifth on Air Force’s all-time career scoring list with 1,551 points—64 away from moving into fourth place—and is within reach of setting new program records during her senior campaign.
The Falcons began their current season with a perfect start at home, going 4-0 inside Clune Arena for the third consecutive year opening with such a streak.
Clune Arena recently completed upgrades to its ADA access features, including fully operational stairs and ramps for fans attending athletic events.
For those attending games who do not have Department of Defense identification cards, new procedures require obtaining a monthly visitor pass to enter the U.S. Air Force Academy grounds instead of submitting requests for each event individually. After registration online using information from one’s driver’s license, visitors receive instructions to present upon arrival along with their tickets.
