Air Force Women’s Basketball will face Utah Valley on Saturday afternoon in Orem, with tipoff scheduled for 3 p.m. MT at the UCCU Center. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+, and local radio coverage will be available through XtraSports AM 1300 in Colorado Springs. Live statistics will also be accessible via StatBroadcast, with links provided on the team’s schedule page.
The Falcons enter the matchup aiming to build momentum before Mountain West conference play begins. Senior Milahnie Perry leads Air Force in scoring, averaging 17.3 points per game, followed by junior Jordyn Devaughn with 9.3 points per game. After seven games this season, Air Force ranks third in the Mountain West Conference for steals (10.50), turnover margin (+4.13), and turnovers forced per game (19.50).
In their previous outing, Air Force secured a 59-49 win over Wright State at Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena in Boca Raton, Florida, ending a two-game stretch in south Florida and returning to .500 on the season (4-4). “For the fifth-consecutive game, senior Milahnie Perry led all scorers with 19 points; Junior Jayda McNabb scored her second double-double this season, finishing with 13 points and 11 rebounds (game high); Marissa Hargrave wrapped on a strong two-game showing with an eight-points, 11 boards (tied game high) and a game-high four assists (career high).”
The Falcons held statistical advantages over Wright State in several categories: field goals made (19), free throws made (18), free throws attempted (23), rebounds (49), points off turnovers (11), second chance points (four), bench points (12), points in the paint (28), and blocks (three). The team remains undefeated this season when leading in second-chance and bench scoring margins.
Jayda McNabb continues to be an important contributor for Air Force since joining as a sophomore last year when she averaged 7.9 points per game and recorded six double-doubles while leading the team in rebounding. This season she is third in the Mountain West for rebounding at 8.25 per game and seventh nationally for offensive rebounds at 4.8 per contest; she also ranks third among league players for blocked shots per game at one.
Freshmen Bhret Clay and Jordyn Devaughn have strengthened Air Force’s bench presence early this season. Clay leads the team’s three-point shooting percentage (.375) while matching Perry for a team-best average of 2.1 steals per contest; Devaughn has posted four double-digit scoring games so far.
Saturday’s meeting marks the third time Air Force has played Utah Valley within one calendar year—the teams split their two matchups last season: Air Force won a nonconference tilt on December 4 but lost to Utah Valley during the opening round of the WNIT postseason tournament on March 21.
All-time, Air Force holds a record of three wins and five losses against Utah Valley, including one win out of three attempts at Utah Valley’s UCCU Center.
This road contest concludes a four-game away stretch that featured eight road or neutral-site games out of eleven non-conference matchups for Air Force this season; they return home next week to host New Mexico Highlands.
Statistically this year, Air Force is undefeated when playing at Clune Arena or when holding halftime leads or opponents under certain scoring thresholds—including being unbeaten when leading opponents in second-chance or bench point totals as well as three-pointers made.
Over recent seasons, trends show that Air Force performs strongly when scoring above seventy points—especially at home—and consistently does well when out-rebounding opponents or holding them below sixty points.
