Air Force Women’s Basketball is set to participate in the Thanksgiving Classic in Boca Raton, Florida, with their opening game against Florida Atlantic University scheduled for Thursday at 10 a.m. Mountain Time at FAU’s Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena.
The Falcons enter the tournament aiming to secure a winning record on the road this season, currently holding a 2-2 away record. This appearance also marks the first-ever meeting between Air Force and Florida Atlantic University.
Senior Milahnie Perry leads Air Force in scoring, averaging 15 points per game, while junior Jordyn Devaughn follows with an average of 9.3 points. Over the first six games of the 2025-26 season, Air Force ranks second in the Mountain West Conference for turnover margin (+6.676) and is third in both turnovers forced per game (20.33) and turnovers committed per game (13.7).
In their most recent outing, Air Force fell to UC San Diego by a score of 55-43 at LionTree Arena despite a strong late effort. Perry led all scorers with 15 points, and junior Jayda McNabb recorded Air Force’s first double-double of the season with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
McNabb has been a consistent contributor throughout her career at the Academy. Last season as a sophomore, she averaged 7.9 points per game and posted six double-doubles, leading the team in rebounding and finishing second in offensive rebounds within the Mountain West Conference. This year, she ranks third in conference rebounding (8.33 rpg) and fifth nationally in offensive rebounds (5.2), with double-digit scoring performances in two of her last three games.
Freshmen Bhret Clay and Jordyn Devaughn have provided significant support off the bench early this season. Clay leads Air Force in three-point shooting percentage (.409) over six games and averages 2.3 steals per game—sixth-best in the conference for takeaways—while Devaughn has reached double figures four times so far.
Historically, Air Force holds a 2-10 record against current members of the American Athletic Conference; both wins came against UTSA during the mid-1990s.
Statistical trends from previous seasons highlight that Air Force typically succeeds when limiting opponents’ scoring or excelling offensively themselves: they were undefeated last season when scoring at least 70 points or outshooting opponents from the field at home.
Milahnie Perry recently scored her fifteenth point at UC San Diego on November 22, bringing her within 52 points of seventh place on Air Force’s all-time scoring list and third place among Division I players for the program since 1996. Perry has recorded two of the highest single-season point totals ever by an Air Force player during consecutive years.
