Air Force Women’s Basketball secured a 69-61 overtime victory against Wyoming on Wednesday at Clune Arena, during an event attended by elementary school students from the Colorado Springs area.
Senior Emily Adams led all scorers with 18 points and seven rebounds. Junior Jordyn Devaughn contributed a season-high 16 points and matched Adams with seven rebounds. Senior Milahnie Perry and junior Jayda McNabb each scored nine points, with McNabb also recording eight rebounds, five assists, three steals, and two blocks. Freshman Eva Love played a career-high 28 minutes in her fifth game and added nine points, including five in overtime.
Wyoming ended the first quarter ahead 18-14 after making over half of their shots. Air Force trailed by as many as 12 points late in the second quarter but closed the gap with a 12-1 run to end the half just one point behind at 29-28.
McNabb’s successful three-point play gave Air Force its first lead early in the third quarter, but Wyoming responded with an 11-2 run to regain control and led 44-37 entering the fourth. Air Force outscored Wyoming in the final period to force overtime after Payton Muma assisted Jame Rumpf for a layup that tied the game at 59 with three seconds left in regulation.
In overtime, Air Force outscored Wyoming 10-2. Bhret Clay hit a three-pointer while Eva Love made consecutive fast-break layups to help secure the win. The Falcons limited Wyoming to one basket on seven attempts during extra time.
This marks Air Force’s first win over Wyoming since the 2021-22 season and improves their home record to eight wins this year. The Falcons held statistical advantages over Wyoming in field goal attempts (67), three-pointers made (five) and attempted (18), offensive rebounds (nine), steals (11), points off turnovers (19), second-chance points (eight), fast-break points (11), and bench points (17).
Air Force now holds a record of 13-15 overall and is set to face Colorado State on Saturday, February 28 at Moby Arena in Fort Collins.
