Air Force track and field sees record number earn academic conference honors

Thirty-nine athletes from the Air Force track and field team have been recognized as Academic All-Conference by the Mountain West for their academic achievements during the 2024-25 year. The group includes 18 men and 21 women, with half also receiving Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.

The sophomore class led the team with 14 selections, featuring athletes such as Lilianne Aittama, Kayla Beach, Ansley Bishop, Alex Brooks, Carly Foster, Ryan Hajek, Anna Harden, Jonah Hochstetler, Patrick Lawson, Jonah Meyer, Karli Neff, Dominykas Remeikis, Ben Sklodowski and Clara Teigland. First-year students Barrett Boyd, Kimi Cahoon, Caroline Carrico, Zachary Hall, Leilani Harris, Christopher Johnson, Trevin Jordan, Grace Mullin, Alexander Pinckney, Sarah Reynolds, Brayden Richards and Jasleen Sidhu were also honored.

From the Class of 2026: Ethan Ashley, Zach Ayers, Jevonte Eaves, India Jones, Tanner Lindahl and others received academic recognition. Senior honorees Halle Hamilton, Ally Peterson, Jason Renze and Taylor Rioux accumulated a total of 14 academic all-conference awards over their four years at the Academy.

In total across all sports in spring 2025—including baseball; basketball; golf; women’s gymnastics; women’s swimming and diving; tennis—the Academy had 93 cadet-athletes named to the Mountain West’s spring academic list. This marks the second-highest number of selections in school history.

To qualify for Academic All-Conference selection in the Mountain West Conference (MW), student-athletes must complete at least one term at their institution with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and participate in a significant portion of their team’s competitions.

Additionally this year’s MW Scholar-Athlete award was given to those who completed two semesters or three quarters while maintaining a GPA of at least 3.50. For Air Force track and field these included ten men—Eaves; Lawson; Pinckney; Remeikis; Renze; Richards; Sannes; Sklodowski; Cody Kelley; Tanner Woodring—and nine women—Bishop; Harden; Harris; Jones; Neff; Teigland; Kori Leverenz; Anna Lindsley and Grace Mullin.
