Air Force Academy’s swimming and diving teams are set to compete in a single-day meet at Seattle University on Friday, January 16. The event will take place at the Redhawk Center, with competition starting at 4 p.m. PT.

The men’s team enters the meet after a decisive win over Colorado School of Mines on January 10, finishing with a score of 181.50-58.50. In that contest, Evan Witte set a new facility record in the 400 IM with a time of 4:08.80, while Lucas Gerten led the way on the 3-meter dive by scoring 379.65 points for first place. The Falcons secured twelve first-place finishes during that event.
Among current top performers in conference rankings, Louie Body ranks fifth in the MPSF for the 200 backstroke (1:45.05), while freshman Brandon Cho holds second place in both the 200 breaststroke (1:57.26) and tenth in the 400 IM (3:57.55). Other notable athletes include Joe Christ with top-five times in multiple freestyle events and Jonas Dark ranking tenth in both the 200 fly and 200 IM.
In diving, Lucas Gerten has achieved top marks across all boards, including first place on platform (357.50) within MPSF standings and qualifying scores for NCAA Zone competitions.
For women’s swimming and diving, Katie Andrist is among conference leaders with an eighth-place time in the Mountain West for the 200 free (4:53.03), sixth for the 1000 free (10:05.38), and fifth for the mile (16:43.29). Naomi Furman stands out as well with top-eight times in breaststroke events.
The women’s squad also had recent success, collecting victories against Colorado State (179-121) and New Mexico (254-41) last weekend by winning nine events overall. Lily Larson earned gold medals in both sprint freestyle distances—100 yards (51.84) and 200 yards (1:52.38)—while Naomi Furman took first place finishes in both breaststrokes.
Following their trip to Seattle, Air Force swim & dive will continue its season by traveling to Provo, Utah to face BYU and Colorado Mesa on January 23 and January 24.
