Air Force will host Fresno State in a men’s basketball game on Saturday, January 31 at Clune Arena, with tip-off scheduled for 1 p.m. Mountain Time. The event will feature promotions including Scout Day and the Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Game.
The academy has announced that all three sets of stairs and the west ADA ramp into Clune Arena are now fully operational, following recent construction work. “We appreciate the patience of our fans and look forward to welcoming them back to our athletics events with this completed project,” according to the statement.
For those without Department of Defense identification cards who are over 18 years old, a visitor’s pass is required for base access.
The game will be broadcast on the MW Network with Brian Jerman providing play-by-play commentary. Radio coverage will be available on AM 740 KVOR with Jim Arthur, and live statistics can be accessed via Statbroadcast.
Air Force enters the matchup with a record of 3-17 overall and 0-9 in Mountain West play, currently on a 13-game losing streak after falling to Boise State in their last outing. Fresno State holds a record of 9-11 overall and 3-6 in conference games, coming off a loss against Grand Canyon.
Interim head coach Jon Jordan leads Air Force this season, while Vance Wahlberg coaches Fresno State. In previous meetings between the two teams, Air Force trails in the series with an overall record of 10-29 against Fresno State but won their last encounter in overtime on February 22, 2025.
Notable points for Air Force include significant contributions from its freshman class—accounting for half of the team’s scoring—and individual achievements such as Caleb Walker’s shooting percentage and Kam Sanders setting a school record for consecutive free throws made in a single game.
Following Saturday’s contest, Air Force is scheduled to travel to face Grand Canyon on Tuesday, February 3.
