The Air Force Academy track and field team concluded its participation at the Jarvis Scott Invitational in Lubbock, Texas, with notable performances on Feb. 14. The women’s 4×400-meter relay team posted a time of 3:46.97, marking the fifth-fastest result in program history. The relay squad included freshman Eleanor Borchard, junior Allison Fernstrom, sophomore Ella Pears, and sophomore Sarah Reynolds, finishing 17th overall among competitors.

With this performance, Allison Fernstrom has now contributed to three of the five fastest 4×400-meter relays in Air Force history.

Another significant achievement came from sophomore Asher Jenkins in the men’s 200-meter dash. Jenkins ran a personal-best time of 21.22 seconds, which ranks as the eighth-fastest in Academy records. He finished 18th out of more than 130 sprinters in the event. Senior Jettason Rose also placed within the top 20 with a time of 21.06 seconds for an 11th-place finish.

In field events, freshman Max McFarlane achieved a career-best clearance of 5.34 meters (17’5¼”) in the “A” section of pole vaulting, earning him sixth place and moving him to No. 12 on the Academy’s all-time list for that event. Junior Tanner Woodring was runner-up in another pole vault section with a clearance of 5.04 meters (16’6½”), while sophomore James Vogel Jr. recorded a season-best jump of 4.74 meters (15’6½”).

Senior Texas Tanner took third place in shot put with a throw measuring 18.30 meters (60’9½”) among a field of 27 athletes. In high jump, sophomore Morgan Glaser cleared a season-high mark of 1.78 meters (5’10”), finishing as the top non-Texas Tech competitor out of 21 participants.

The Falcons are scheduled to compete next at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships from Feb. 26-28 in Reno, Nevada—the first time this annual conference meet will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center.
