Air Force will host San José State in a men’s basketball game on Tuesday, February 24 at Clune Arena. The game is scheduled to begin at 7:05 p.m. Mountain Time. Fans attending the event can expect full ADA access to Clune Arena, as all stairs and the west ADA ramp are now operational.
Non-Department of Defense ID card holders over the age of 18 are required to obtain a visitor’s pass for base access. Information about obtaining passes is available through the designated base access link.
The game will be broadcast on Altitude/MW Network with Tyler Maun providing play-by-play commentary and Brian Jerman as analyst. Radio coverage will be available on XTRA Sports 1300 AM with Jim Arthur calling the action. Live statistics can be followed via Statbroadcast.
Air Force enters the matchup with a record of 3-24 overall and 0-16 in Mountain West Conference play, while San José State holds a record of 7-20 overall and 2-14 in conference games. Air Force has lost its last 20 games, most recently falling to UNLV by a score of 91-66. San José State lost its previous game against Boise State, 84-69.
Jon Jordan serves as interim head coach for Air Force this season, his first in that role and ninth overall with the program. Tim Miles leads San José State in his fifth season as head coach.
San José State leads the all-time series between the two teams, holding a 16-13 advantage. The Spartans have won seven consecutive meetings, including their most recent encounter on January 13, when they defeated Air Force 70-62.
Notable points ahead of this contest include that freshmen account for more than half of Air Force’s scoring this season—57 percent overall and 64 percent during conference games. Freshman Lucas Hobin set an Air Force freshman record by making his 58th three-pointer at Fresno State. Caleb Walker achieved a streak of making 16 consecutive baskets across three games, which ranks fourth-longest nationally.
Following Tuesday’s game, Air Force will travel to Wyoming for their next matchup on Saturday, February 28 at Arena Auditorium in Laramie. That game is set for a 2 p.m. tipoff and will be streamed on the MW Network.
