Air Force football Head Coach Troy Calhoun, along with senior tight end Bruin Fleischmann and sophomore defensive back Roger Jones, Jr., spoke to the media ahead of their upcoming game against UConn.
This will be the first meeting between Air Force and UConn. The game is scheduled for October 31, 2026, at Falcon Stadium. The matchup was arranged after Sam Houston State withdrew from its planned return trip to Falcon Stadium. This contest is among 17 first-time Group of Five matchups in college football this season.
Currently, Air Force leads the Mountain West Conference in several categories: rushing yards per game (269.0), passing efficiency (170.34), yards per completion (18.33), fewest penalties per game (4.44), and fewest penalty yards per game (39.89). The team has also extended its national record for consecutive games with at least 100 rushing yards to 94 after recording 261 rushing yards against San Jose State. No other team in the country has a streak longer than 45 games.
Defensively, Air Force has held its last three opponents to 21 points or fewer, allowing 21 points to Wyoming, 20 to Army, and 16 to San Jose State.
