Air Force men’s water polo secures winning season with victory over Pomona-Pitzer

Air Force men’s water polo secured a 15-10 victory over Pomona-Pitzer at the Julian Fraser Memorial Tournament on Sunday, held at the Sullivan Aquatic Center in Santa Clara, California. With this win, Air Force improved its season record to 17-12 and ensured a winning season for the third time in four years.

The team maintained steady scoring throughout the match, recording four goals in each of the first three quarters and adding three more in the final period. After leading 4-3 at the end of the first quarter and 8-6 at halftime, Air Force extended its advantage with a 4-1 run in the third quarter to lead 12-7.

Tom Leggett was Air Force’s top performer with five points from three goals and two assists. Jack Richards contributed two goals and two assists, while Jake Dixon scored three goals. Dante Nocetti added three assists, and Blake Fuchslin provided two assists. In goal, Luca Smith made five saves and also assisted on two goals.

This win marks Air Force’s second-highest single-season win total under head coach Ryan Brown.

Air Force is scheduled to play its next game at home against San Jose State on Sunday, November 2.
