Juniors Tom Leggett and Jack Richards from the Air Force men’s water polo team have been recognized with 2025 All-America honors by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC). Leggett was named to the second team, while Richards received honorable mention.
The ACWPC All-America award is given to water polo athletes across all collegiate divisions who demonstrate significant skill, leadership, and contributions to the sport. Selection is made by coaches who are members of the ACWPC.
Leggett, a utility player from Santa Barbara, California, set new school records for both single season and career goals and points. He led the nation this season with 148 goals and 196 points, surpassing his own records set in 2024. Leggett now holds Air Force’s all-time records with 405 goals and 522 points over his career.
This marks Leggett’s third time earning ACWPC All-America recognition; he previously received honorable mention as a freshman and third-team honors as a sophomore. His placement on the second team equals Grant Snyder’s finish in 2020 as the highest in program history. “This award is presented to water polo athletes who exhibit immense talent in the pool, provide leadership, and have helped build and advance the sport,” according to the ACWPC.
Richards, an attacker from Walnut Creek, California, finished his junior year ranked among the top ten nationally in goals, assists, and points. He was third nationwide in assists with 59, fifth in scoring with 143 points, and tenth in goals with 84. Within Air Force program history for a single season, Richards ranks fourth in assists, sixth in points, and seventh in goals.
This year marks only the fourth time that two Air Force players have earned All-America honors during the same season; it last occurred in 2012.
