Air Force men’s tennis finishes Colorado Cup with two match wins

Air Force Academy’s men’s tennis team concluded the third day of play at the Colorado Cup on Sunday, an event hosted by the University of Denver at Denver Tennis Park. The Falcons secured two victories during the day’s matches.

In doubles competition, Alec Fritzinger and Matthew Staton earned a win for Air Force, defeating Denver’s Michiro and Rovai 6-3. Staton also achieved a singles victory, overcoming Ryoma Mishiro in three sets with scores of 6-4, 4-6, 6-2.

All six singles matches involving Air Force players extended to three sets. Two of these matches were decided by a third-set tiebreaker.

The Falcons are scheduled to compete next at the UH Invitational in Honolulu, Hawai’i on November 7.
