Air Force men’s tennis advances players at ITA Mountain Regional in Las Vegas

Air Force men’s tennis team continued its participation in the 2025 ITA Mountain Regional on Friday at the Fertitta Tennis Complex, located on the UNLV campus in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Senior Phillip Deaton progressed to the round of 16 in the singles direct elimination draw after defeating Jakub Prachar of New Mexico. The match ended with a score of 4-1 following Prachar’s retirement. Senior AJ Moore also moved forward, advancing to the round of 16 in the consolation singles draw by winning against David Duong from BYU with a score of 6-4, 6-1.

In other singles matches, senior Jack Brown was defeated by Sep De Visser of Idaho State in his consolation draw match.

The doubles competition saw mixed results for Air Force. The pair Moore and Langdon Tingleaf lost their round of 16 match to Tygen Goldammer and Alexander Edmonston from BYU after a close tiebreaker that ended 8-7 (5). Meanwhile, Brown and Deaton secured a win in an extra doubles match against Noe De Col and Xavier Martin from Idaho with a score of 8-3.

Competition at the regional tournament will continue on Saturday.
