Air Force Academy’s men’s swimming and diving team is preparing to compete at the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) Championships, which will be held at the City of Pharr-PSJA Natatorium in Pharr, Texas. The event runs from February 25 to 28 and is hosted by UTRGV. The Falcons will face teams from California Baptist, Pacific, Incarnate Word, UNLV, and Wyoming.

The championship schedule includes both preliminary rounds and finals each day. Events range from various swimming relays to individual races such as the 500 freestyle, 200 IM, and different diving competitions on both springboard and platform. A senior ceremony is scheduled for Saturday evening before the final events.

Several Air Force athletes enter the meet with top conference times. Senior Louie Body ranks fifth in the MPSF for the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:45.05. Freshman Brandon Cho holds third place in the 200 breaststroke at 1:57.26. Junior Joe Christ has multiple top-five rankings including fifth in both the 100 free (43.83) and 200 free (1:36.06), as well as sixth in the 500 free (4:25.21).

Freshman Lucas Gerten leads MPSF divers on platform with a score of 357.50 and holds second place on both one-meter (363.20) and three-meter boards (379.65). Other notable performances include senior Bridon Rosales who is second in both the 50 breaststroke (24.85) and 100 breaststroke (53.42), while sophomore Tanner Wilson tops all competitors in three breaststroke events.

Athletes like Camden Swigart, James Winterfield, Tyler Surratt, and Evan Witte also have times among the best in their respective events within the conference.

The Falcons’ participation at this championship provides an opportunity for swimmers and divers to qualify for national-level meets such as those organized by CSCAA or NCAA Zone competitions.
