The Air Force golf team achieved its best-ever score and finish at the Bandon Dunes Championship on March 10, competing at the Pacific Dunes Course in Bandon, Oregon.
This result marks a significant improvement for the Falcons, who have participated in the tournament four times. The team finished 14th with a total score of 883 (+31), surpassing their previous best from 2022 when they scored 923 (+71) and placed 15th.
During the first round, Air Force posted a score of 288 (+4), which stands as their lowest single-round score at this event. Their earlier record was a 299 in the second round of the 2022 tournament. Oregon State won this year’s championship with an overall score of 821 (-31), followed by Oregon with 838 and Seattle with 848.
Freshman Ben Zeiler and junior Eli Huntington led the Falcons, each tying for 40th place overall with scores of 218 (+5). Senior Brooks Morrell finished with a total of 225 and recorded an even-par round of 71 in the final round—the team’s best individual round. Seniors Ted Davenport (230) and Eric Liveringhouse (232) also contributed to the team’s performance. Junior Carson Baker competed as an individual and shot a total of 230.
Looking ahead, Air Force is scheduled to compete next at the UCSD Invitational from March 22 to March 24 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, California.
