The Air Force golf team is set to compete in the 17th annual Bandon Dunes Championship, taking place March 8-10 at the Pacific Dunes Course in Bandon, Oregon. The event will feature live scoring on Scoreboard by Clippd.

Representing Air Force this week are Brooks Morrell, Eli Huntington, Eric Liveringhouse, Ben Zeiler, Ted Davenport, and individual competitor Carson Baker. The tournament format consists of 18 holes each day with a shotgun start at 7:45 a.m. PT. Each team will field five golfers, counting the top four scores daily toward their team total.

Air Force will compete against a field that includes Idaho (the host), Penn, Wofford, Seton Hall, SIUE, Utah Valley, Utah Tech, Denver, Sacramento State, Oregon State, Oregon, Seattle University, Santa Clara and Eastern Washington.

This marks Air Force’s fourth appearance at the Bandon Dunes Championship. Previously, the Falcons have tied for 15th place twice at the event. Their best team score was 933 in 2022. The Bandon Dunes Resort has grown since its opening in 1999 to include five championship courses and two short courses. It is ranked as the second-best public golf course in the United States after Pebble Beach and has hosted several USGA National Championships. Upcoming events include the 2025 U.S. Women’s Amateur and the 2028 Walker Cup.

Reflecting on last year’s tournament at Bandon Dunes held on March 11, Eric Liveringhouse and Carson Baker led Air Force on the final day with rounds of 76 (+5). Cameron Kahle finished highest for Air Force overall with a score of 226 (+13). Oregon won that tournament with an overall score of 848 (+4).

For this season so far, four Falcons—Eli Huntington, Carson Baker, Brooks Morrell and Eric Liveringhouse—have played all team rounds. Huntington leads with a stroke average of 75.44; Baker follows at 75.56; Morrell averages 75.71; Liveringhouse is at 76.06. Freshman Ben Zeiler recorded the lowest round by a Falcon this season with a score of 68 as an individual at the Gene Miranda Invitational.

At their most recent outing—the Loyola Intercollegiate on February 17 in Goodyear, Arizona—senior Brooks Morrell matched his career best with a two-under-par round of 70 on consecutive days and posted his best collegiate three-round total at 214 (-2), placing him tied for 30th out of 119 participants. Air Force finished tied for 15th overall with an aggregate score of 872 (+8), which is their best three-round team result since the previous year’s Loyola Intercollegiate.

The Falcons’ next competition will be the UC San Diego Invitational from March 22-24 at Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla.
