The Air Force golf team recorded its best round at the Folds of Honor Collegiate, shooting a 287 (+3) on the final day of the tournament held at American Dunes Golf Course in Grand Haven, Michigan. The performance on Wednesday allowed the Falcons to surpass Army, finishing 13 shots ahead after starting the day seven behind.
This final-round score was also the team’s best since their appearance at the Loyola Intercollegiate in February 2024. Among all teams competing in this event, Air Force’s score was sixth best for that round and two strokes better than ninth-ranked Florida State.
Junior Eli Huntington led Air Force with a one-under-par 70. Senior Eric Liveringhouse and junior Carson Baker each carded even-par rounds of 71. Senior Ted Davenport shot a 75, while senior Brooks Morrel finished with an 82.
Baker and Davenport were top performers for Air Force across all three rounds, each posting a total score of 227 (+14). Huntington ended with a cumulative score of 228, followed by Liveringhouse (232) and Morrell (236).
Huntington made five birdies during his round. Baker and Liveringhouse contributed four birdies apiece. On holes No. 17 and No. 18—the closing stretch for Air Force—four scoring golfers combined to shoot six-under-par.
Alabama secured its second consecutive victory at the Folds of Honor Collegiate with an overall team score of 847 (-5). Notre Dame placed second at 853 (+1), while Cincinnati and Kansas tied for third at 863 (+11).
Senior captain Brooks Morrell is scheduled to compete in the Stephens Cup from September 15-16 at Shoreacres Country Club in Lake Bluff, Illinois. The Falcons will next host the Gene Miranda Falcon Invitational from September 20-22 at Eisenhower Golf Course.
