Air Force men’s swimming and diving team completed the second day of competition at the SMU Invitational in Dallas, Texas, finishing fifth out of seven teams with a score of 190 points on Thursday at the Robson & Lindley Aquatic Center. Stanford moved into first place with 377 points.
Tanner Wilson secured fourth place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 52.51 seconds, meeting an NCAA qualifying standard. Bridon Rosales finished ninth in the same event with a time of 53.43 seconds.
In the 400 individual medley, Camden Swigart posted Air Force’s highest finish for that event, taking sixth place at 3:48.27. Matthew Doty followed in eighth place with a time of 3:49.98.
James Winterfield placed seventh in the A final of the 100 butterfly, recording a time of 47.13 seconds.
On the 1-meter springboard, Lucas Gerten scored 283.50 to take eighth place, while Jack Roby finished tenth with a score of 263.85.
Joe Christ was Air Force’s top finisher in the 200 freestyle, placing sixteenth with a time of 1:36.46.
The Falcons’ relay team—composed of Christ, Jordan Falls, James Winterfield, and Tyler Surratt—finished eighth in the 200 freestyle relay with a combined time of 1:20.23.
The SMU Invitational will continue on Friday, November 20, starting with preliminaries at 10 a.m. CT and finals at 5 p.m. CT.
