Despite a strong opening set, the Air Force Falcons women’s volleyball team lost 3-1 to Utah State at the Wayne Estes Center in Logan on November 20. The Falcons took the first set with a 25-15 win against the undefeated Aggies, who had already secured the Mountain West regular season title. However, Air Force dropped the next three sets by scores of 14-25, 19-25, and 22-25.

Senior Ashley Bible led Air Force with a match-high 18 kills. Sophomore Alysa Walker contributed 15 kills with a .286 hitting percentage. Sophomore Mia Loyd recorded a match-high 45 assists and served two of Air Force’s three aces. Grace Fiaseu and Jordan Suan tied for match-leading marks in blocks (five each) and digs (18), respectively.

The Falcons started strong in the first set, taking an early lead with contributions from Brooksie Isham and Walker. After regaining control following an Aggies tie at seven points, Air Force used several blocks and kills to secure a comfortable victory in the opening frame.

Utah State responded quickly in the second set, establishing an early advantage that they maintained throughout to even the match. In subsequent sets, both teams traded points before Utah State pulled ahead late to win each remaining set.

Air Force now holds a record of 15-14 overall and 7-10 in conference play this season. The team will conclude its season on Saturday, November 22, traveling to Boise State for their final matchup as Mountain West opponents.
